I'm thrilled to have you here.

My name is Olivia Dudding Rodriguez , and I am a poet, storyteller, facilitator, and creative mentor, who celebrates rural spaces and identities. I live in Helper, UT, nestled in the Book Cliffs of Eastern Utah. Living in Helper has gifted me with the joy of a close-knit community, where nature and history are intertwined. I am honored to serve as the poet laureate.
As a poet, I find inspiration in the landscapes and people of rural America. My poetry celebrates the beauty of the natural world, the rituals of small-town life, and the resilience and strength of those who call rural places home.
Through my writing, I hope to create heirlooms for rural spaces and the folks that come from them. I believe that poetry has the power to connect us to our surroundings, and to remind us of the value of the people and places that shape our lives.
